Reflection
This was my first essay that I have written about the aspects about cloning and I would say it was a different experience to say the less. I was also paranoid about the dangers of cloning and was initially tempted to discuss the cons of cloning, but I felt particularly sinister and wanted to play for the other side. Turns out I learned a lot more about cloning and it changed my viewpoint about cloning for the better. Even if I still had some doubts about using advances in genetic manipulation to produce identical zygotes, it was still intruded on how benefited cloning may be. I also never have thought of cloning in the view of ethical concerns. It apparent that we have such “clones” such as twins and species that are the product of asexual reproduction, but it is only know were I have seen how far science can take us.
After writing this essay I reminisced on some of the problem faced when writing this essay. One of the hardest was finding research that found that cloning techniques would improve in the future. This is subjective as I had to base this data on the projected progress of biotechnology rather than innovations in synthetic embryonic fertilization. There was also a problem with having enough evidence to counter some of the opposing viewpoints of cloning. There was some positive in doing this paper, however. One of which was the format for listing the claims for and opposing cloning was helpful in giving a fluid organization of the data at hand. Another is the use of picture and alluring title has also helped in focusing the topic. Overall the only thing I would work on is the use of more sources and being more detailed with my explanations.
